Assessment Services

Juvenile justice agencies are faced with reducing recidivism and targeting services to those youth most in need. Decisions about programs and treatments must be based on a valid and reliable assessment of juveniles’ needs, strengths, and risk of reoffending. NCCD has developed Juvenile Assessment and Intervention System (JAIS™) which is a combination of validated risk assessment, strength and needs assessment, and supervision strategies. The assessment has been tailored toidentify risk and needs of girls and address the motivations driving girls’ behaviors.

Through NCCD, the Center for Girls and Young Women provides web-based access and individual contracts based on jurisdiction size and technical assistance needs. Assessment services can be tailored to meet the reporting requirements of agencies and individual programs along the entire juvenile justice continuum. Click here for more information about JAIS™.
